What is “healthy detox” and why should you consider removing your body toxins? Whether recognized or not we are open to the elements of harmful toxins every day. These symptoms may include stress and depression, bad breath, diahhrea or constipation, body aches and pains, eye strain and headaches, respiratory problems, digestion issues, anxiety and can even be a factor in weight gain. However, probably the safest and most beneficial way is by eating foods that are high in antioxidant properties. These foods include fresh fruits and vegetables, fish especially salmon and tuna, lean roast beef, nuts and seeds. Also consider drinking fresh fruit juices and water, both will give you a healthy detox as well. Adding green tea to your daily menu choices will help cleanse your body, green tea is very beneficial for your health; being very high in antioxidant properties which make it a very good option for a healthy detox. There are some people that advocate a starvation type diet for detoxification. While I don’t really see the huge benefit in any starvation tactic, if you do consider one make sure it lasts no longer than 3 days. More than this can surely cause other health issues and I would not consider this to be a healthy detox method. Eating a balanced diet of foods with high antioxidant properties is a much healthier option. Remember, a healthy detox of your body will help by removing harmful toxins you are exposed to and may help protect you from life-threatening illnesses. This is the most prominent reason why you should consider detoxification of your body. Another motivation is it can also help with losing weight. When you detoxify it helps to improve your body metabolic system which aids your body to burn more fat which can lead to increased weight loss.
